USUI Reiki Level 1 IN PERSON – $188
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a technique or therapy with the aim of reducing stress, promoting relaxation and encouraging a person to heal.
The origin of Reiki is Japanese and is generally accepted to be based on an ancient Tibetan Buddhist technique that developed throughout the 19th or 20th century
The name Reiki is Japanese, and translates to “Universal Life Force Energy.” This comes from two words: “Rei” which means universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious power and essence, and “Ki” which means vital life force energy.
It is administered by laying on hands and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy (or chi) flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s chi is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.
