Not Your Burden to Carry

Are you feeling the heaviness of those around you?

It is a challenging time for humanity right now. There is so much going on in the world, as well as for all of us. When you have a kind soul, you tend to take on the burdens of those you love. We want to help and do what we can to lighten the load.

This is a well-intentioned gesture, but I am asking you to stop.

You are probably thinking, “What? Why?”

If someone asks for your help and if it feels right, go ahead and do so.

What about when they do not ask?

I am talking about when you decide to take on the burden that belongs to them. It is important to remind yourself of the fact that it may be a learning experience for them. The universe may have chosen this opportunity for them to grow.

This is when I use the phrase, ‘It is not my burden to carry.’

Although I really want to help them, I need to recognize the fact that it isn’t my responsibility to take away their burden, even when I want to.

It is also a lesson for us when this happens. We each have our own path and lessons to learn. When this happens, pause and reflect before acting.

Is it in the best interest of all for you to get involved?

I then say, “I release my worries about (whatever I am worried about), to the universe for healing. I trust you will heal this situation for the highest good of all involved.”

Then I let it go.

In my mind, I am delegating to the universe to heal the situation. I trust it will be done.

I immediately feel the pressure release.

By doing this, you are releasing what does not serve you. It then opens you up to receive what is meant for you.

You are a loving soul with only the best intentions. How beautiful is that!
